Somehow in physics the subject of "pocket coffee" came up and I didn't know what it was. My physics teacher couldn't believe I'd never heard of/tried pocket coffee and promised to bring me some. Anyway, she did. Have I mentioned how much I love her??
They're tiny bite sized pieces of chocolate with a shot of espresso inside. I have no idea how they're made. It doesn't seem possible? I don't know!!!! But you have to eat them in one bite. If you don't, the shot of espresso goes everywhere. I learned that the hard way.
Here's a picture of octopus that I cleaned, chopped up, and cooked with tomato sauce (with my host mom, of course.) I winced the entire process but it ended up being delicious. Also - here's a really disgusting detail, Eliana please skip this part for your own good! - when you buy octopus they're supposed to come with the eyeball cut out but one of these little guys still had his or her eyeball so my host mom had to cut it out. Ok. Isn't that disgusting? Circle of life.
yum
Ok Eliana it's safe for you to come back now.
In other news, Luke emailed me this picture of himself.
A picture says 1000 words and to me his expression is saying: Kayla, they're all crazy here. I don't know what to do without you. I love you very much. You're my favorite sister. Please come home.
Or maybe he's annoyed because my mom ran out of chicken nuggets. Either way, I miss him a lot. Love you Lukie. I'll be home soon.
